Receive and Release

All good things that come to you receive them with love.
All good things that are taken from you release them with compassion.


~ I wrote this post not knowing how soon I would have to apply it. And not knowing that the compassion was for myself not for what was lost. What was lost will just keep traveling on. As for me...I am the little girl left standing in the middle of the road with compassion her only healing source. Even so, it will not come easy. It never does.

I was drowning and you put rocks in my pockets.

She was thrown face down in the dirt.
She collapsed into surrender.
She never turned her face toward the sun again.

"Live and Let Live" ~ Some times these true and solid statements become so common that they
lose there strength. I feel they are needed now more than ever. So many people are harshly throwing out opinions on how others should live their lives. They judge everyone's decisions as if they are all wise and knowing. Live your life and allow others to live theirs. Set yourself and everyone else free.

Everything is but a tiny flower nestled beneath the clover.

Sometimes its like reading a book with a sad ending over and over.....expecting the ending to change.

 

This is Muffin, seventeen years old and has lost a lot of her faculties. Thanksgiving day among all the company and comotion she was in her own little world surfing the floor in the kitchen for the slightest crumb that she could claim as her own. With the tiny aching body she was doing something she loved to do.There is a lesson for us all in Muffins diligence for joy.

Only the Strong

       Peeling back the layers is a choice made only by the strong.

I was standing in the light while he was dancing in the dark.  One day he stepped into the light and I was gone.
